SAYING IT WITH FLOWERS: Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh being welcomed by party workers on his arrival at Raja Bhoj airport in Bhopal on Wednesday.

Bhopal: Predicting a hung assembly in Uttar Pradesh, BJP president Rajnath Singh was on Wednesday hopeful of the formation of a NDA government in the State.

``A hung Assembly is expected to be thrown up in Uttar Pradesh where polls were held. Issues related to Government formation will be discussed after the results are declared,'' he told reporters during a visit here to attend a function.

Mr. Singh also claimed a coalition led by the BJP would bounce back to power at the Centre after the next general election due to the party's rising popularity graph.

To a query, he said despite the likelihood of a fractured verdict in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP's position was quite good and the chances of NDA forming Government in the State were bright.

On the possibility of imposition of President's Rule in the State, he said these probability will be discussed and thoroughly examined after the declaration of election results on Friday.

Asserting that the NDA and the BJP were surging ahead in politics, Mr.Singh claimed the NDA would regain power at the Centre after the next Lok Sabha election.

On the prospects of the emergence of a Third Front, he said such a grouping had lost its goals and objectives.

To a question on the possible return of firebrand leader Uma Bharti to the BJP, Mr.Singh said, ``Now she has her own political party and I don't want to say anything about another party.''

Demanding a halt to moves to dismantle the `Ram Setu', he claimed its pulling down would be environmentally disastrous as it would expose Kerala and Tamil Nadu to tsunami. PTI
