BELLARY: The police have arrested one more person, Sudhakar, in connection with the murder of Basavaraj, a cotton merchant with interests in mining. Siddalinga, who was said to be closely associated with the deceased, was arrested earlier. The police have recovered Rs. 14.65 lakh from them. Superintendent of Police Amrit Paul told presspersons here on Wednesday that Siddalinga planned the murder when Basavaraj demanded that he return the Rs. 15 lakh given to purchase iron ore. Siddalinga introduced Basavaraj to iron ore trading. Mr. Paul commended the efforts of his team and has announced a reward.
