New bus service from Kushalnagar to Bellary

HASSAN: The Hassan division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has introduced a night bus service from Kushalnagar to Bellary via Arkalgud, Hassan, Tiptur, Kibrralli Cross, Chikkanayakanahalli, Huliyar, Hiriyur, Challikere and Rampura. The bus will leave Kushalnagar on Thursdays and Bellary on Fridays.

According to KSRTC Divisional Controller Ganganna Gowda, the bus will leave Kushalnagar at 6.30 p.m. and arrive in Hassan at 8.45 p.m. It will leave Hassan at 9 p.m. and reach Bellary at 4 a.m. covering a distance of 325 km. On its return journey, the bus will leave Bellary at 6 p.m., reach Hassan at 1 a.m. and Kushalnagar at 3.30 a.m. The fare is Rs. 158.

The KSRTC at present operates a Hassan-Bellary-Mantralayam bus via Shimoga covering a distance of 400 km. The fare is Rs. 205. On the Kushalnagar-Bellary route, the distance is reduced by 75 km and the fare by Rs. 47, said Mr. Gowda.
