7th class exam results declared

Girls outshine boys in East Godavari district

VIZIANAGARAM: Collector B. Kishore on Wednesday released the results of 7th class district common examination held last month. Later, District Educational Officer S. Ananda Murty told reporters that the pass percentage was 93.59 ( boys 93.72 and girls 93.46) which is 2.59 per cent more than last year. Giving details, he said of the 31,706 students appeared for the common examination 29,675 had passed.

Kakinada: In the seventh class common examination in East Godavari district, results of which are just announced, girls proved better than boys, with their pass percentage stands at 95.34 per cent as against 94.48 percentage of boys. The regular students pass percentage was 94.48 per cent while that of private students 96.38 per cent and the average district percentage being 95.43 per cent. The Collector M. Subrahmanyam and the district educational officer P. Parvati have released the CDs containing the results at a press conference here on Wednesday. Of the 68,614 regular students, 64,827 have passed and among the 4,886 private candidates 4,709 have achieved success.

The Collector M. Subrahmanyam said that I.Polavaram Mandal stood first by achieving 99.17 per cent of passes being the highest in the district.
