Campaign on benefits of natural drinks

Staff Reporter

SFI to take up awareness drives at several places to spread the advantages of natural drinks

HYDERABAD: `All In One Cola... E Cola Leelalu Chaala'... So goes a Telugu song scripted by members of the Students Federation of India describing the uses of soft drinks in almost all the activities of our lives, except for quenching thirst.

Members of Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV), along with SFI members, on Wednesday organised a buttermilk distribution programme at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram to drive home the message of the benefits of natural drinks to beat the summer heat.

"It is proved scientifically that beverages contain all kinds of chemicals, which could be used to solve a wide range of problems from cleaning toilets to kill weeds. Natural drinks like buttermilk, tender coconut water and fruit juices should be used by everybody," said JVV general secretary T. Ramesh.
