MANGALORE: The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate M. Maheshwara Rao has banned the movement of vehicles between first and second circles at Padavinangadi under Mangalore City Corporation limits with immediate effect. An official press release here on Wednesday said the ban, which had been enforced to facilitate early completion of concreting of this stretch of road, would be in force until the work was completed.
Routes
Accordingly, all vehicles, barring light vehicles, should turn left at Yeyyadi and go via Haripadavu road, adjacent to Ramashrama School, join the Derebail-Konchady road and proceed on the Kuntikan-Kavoor Road. Light vehicles will however be allowed to proceed on the Mary Hill Helipad Road via Bolpugudde and join the Kavoor-Kuntikan Road near Mahalingeshwara Temple, Kavoor, according to the release. Vehicles proceeding towards Padavinangadi and Yeyyadi from Kavoor should go on the Derebail-Konchady route and join Kuntikan junction along National Highway 17. Vehicles going from Kavoor, Bondel, Pachchanady, Devinagara towards Vamanjoor, Kudupu and Kulshekar should use the road joining Mangala Jyothi and proceed further, the release said.
