Dangerous trees

Two trees in front of GE Finance shop of Ramanthapuram traffic signal (Trichy Road- Pankaja Mills Road) are found to have huge cracks and are in danger of falling. Though the ward councillor has been informed about this she expressed helplessness. Since the trees are in a critical junction where traffic is heavy all the time, authorities concerned should take immediate action to remove them. A couple of days ago, a container truck hit the overhead powerline (owing to sagging of the tree branches) causing huge sparks.

Bus seats for women

There is no proper seating arrangement for women in town buses. There are just three to four rows for women. The rest will be occupied by men.

Many pregnant women and women with children in tow have to stand. People even don't show the courtesy of giving seats to them.

V. Douglas Kirpa Raja,

Chinniyampalayam.

Clashing councillors

Corporation meetings often witness clashes between councillors.

The councillors should remember that they have been elected to do something good for the people.

The Corporation Commissioner and the Mayor should see to it that such things do not happen in future.

Avanashi Road.
