`Frame anti-conversion law'

Special Correspondent

MUMBAI: In the wake of the latest controversy in Kolhapur, Maharashtra should enact a strict anti-conversion law, Vyankatesh Abdeo, all-India joint secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that Monday's conversion of a group of eight to Christianity by two priests in Kolhapur was among many such incidents in the country. Such incidents provoked a spontaneous reaction from the common people.
