Time for action to save lake

A discussion on how to preserve Vellayani Lake organised by the Centre for Environment and Development as part of the Kerala Environment Congress on Thursday elicited a stern message from environmentalist M.K. Prasad. "The discussion should not become yet another spill over programme to renew our pledge on protecting the lake," he said . "This is the time for action," he said. Mr. Prasad suggested that the lake be declared a common property and preserved.
