OBC forum's plea to Speaker

NEW DELHI: The Parliamentary Forum of Other Backward Classes on Thursday urged the Lok Sabha Speaker to constitute a parliamentary committee to see that reservation for these sections is implemented in all departments.

The Forum convenor, V. Hanumantha Rao, said that this was in consonance with the Common Minimum Programme of the UPA, which is committed to providing equality of opportunity, particularly in education and employment, for the scheduled castes/tribes and other backward classes and religious minorities.
