Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and Andhra Pradesh. Dry weather prevailed over Karnataka.

Thiruvaiyaru (Thanjavur dt.), Kozhikode and Mannarkad (Palakkad dt.) recorded heavy rainfall of 7 centimetres each.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded to centimeters are: Peermade (Idukki dt.) 6, Needamangalam (Tiruvarur dt.), Avinashi (Coimbatore dt.) and CIAL Kochi 5 each.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Kerala and at a few places over Lakshadweep and South Tamil Nadu. Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. North coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.
