Lalu disapproves remarks

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Amid an uproar in Parliament over Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit's remarks on migrants from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Thursday disapproved of her remarks , but said the chapter should be closed in view of the apology tendered by her.

``There is no justification for making such a statement against the migrants from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh who have contributed to the betterment of not only the Capital but also the entire country. However, since Ms. Dikshit had already apologised, the matter should be closed,'' he told newsmen during a press conference here. Mr. Prasad said political leaders should avoid making such statements and Delhi was a place for everybody and anybody to live.
