MODEL EMPLOYEE! Staff of Big Bazaar hit the ramp on the shop floor in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. Photo:K.R. Deepak
VISAKHAPATNAM: A decent show minus the usual `exposing' was the highlight of the fashion show conducted by Big Bazaar at the store on Thursday. Customers had a merry time as male and female staff members walked the ramp to present the summer collections at the store. T-shirts and jeans dominated the first round on cotton wear. In the ethnic wear round, men wore traditional salwar kameez in various colours and designs. Though they were not professional models, they walked the ramp with grace and poise drawing cheers from both colleagues and customers at the store. Girls in full-length skirts and tops, churidhars and saris in bright colours stole the attention of the gathering. Men wore trousers and short kurtas in funky colours as girls chose short and long skirts. Anchor Bhanu kept the gathering in high spirits with her pep talk. A male staffer drew loud cheers from the gathering with his steps to popular numbers from Telugu and Hindi films. He mimicked the steps of heroes Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Ali and Venkatesh. The show, choreographed by Arun and Neha, helped in bringing out the latent talent among the staff. General manager of The Park, Subroto Majumdar, participated as chief guest. Store Manager Ganesh was present.
