Ramadoss plea to Centre on quota

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: The Centre must take necessary steps to implement 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes in institutions of higher education in the current academic year, Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S. Ramadoss demanded here on Thursday.

In a statement, he said the Centre should have argued before the Supreme Court that it was not proper to continue the stay on implementing 27 per cent reservation this year, when the matter was to be referred to a larger Bench.
