Staff Reporter
VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has urged Kingfisher Airlines to introduce more number of flights from and to Vijayawada. In a letter addressed to Joe, airport manager of Kingfisher Airlines in Hyderabad, ACCI president M. Rajaiah said there was a huge demand for more number of flights between Vijayawada and Hyderabad, as the existing services of Kingfisher and Air Deccan were registering full occupancy.
Fully-booked
A large number of passengers were going to Hyderabad by road because of non-availability of seats on flights. Hence, an additional flight in the morning between Vijayawada and Hyderabad, which could leave Vijayawada at 9 a.m., would make sense and could also bring more revenue to the airlines, he said. Mr. Rajaiah also said there was a huge demand for flight service between Vijayawada and Vizag, as there was a lot of trade between the two cities. In fact, flights could be introduced between Vijayawada and Tirupati, Vijayawada and Bangalore and Vijayawada and Chennai.
