Held on burglary charge

VIJAYAWADA: The Suryaraopet police arrested Lukalapu Uma Sankar alias Rajasekhar, 28, on the charge of committing burglaries and seized a motorcycle and silver ornaments, all estimated to cost Rs. 50,000, on Wednesday night.

The police said Rajasekhar of Tekkali in Srikakulam district came to the city a decade ago and began to break houses during night times. He underwent imprisonment several times.

Jewellery recovered

The police on Thursday arrested Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao of Satyanarayanapuram on the charge of committing burglary and seized gold jewellery and silver ornaments estimated to cost Rs. 90,000. The police charged Rao with breaking the house of Koneru Rajakumari of Mutyalampadu.
