Oppose merger move with Patna zone


  • LIC bifurcates its Kolkata zone, creating new zone in Patna
  • Officers' association wants exclusive zone for Orissa in Cuttack

    CUTACK: Officers of the Life Insurance Corporation of India in the State have threatened to paralyse the functioning of the corporation if the Central authorities do not concede their long-standing demand of setting up two more divisional offices in the State.

    They are also opposing the decision to tag all the three existing divisional offices of the State with the new East Central Zone coming up at Patna in Bihar.
