Coimbatore: The Petitions Committee of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will have its sitting in Coimbatore shortly. In a release, Assembly Secretary M. Selvaraj had announced that individuals, associations and institutions having grievances could send in their petitions in Tamil (five copies) to the President, Petitions Committee, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Chennai - 600 009 on or before May 18.
Individual grievances
Petitions should be relating to grievances unresolved by the Government departments. It should also be in respect of one grievance pertaining to one department and of public importance and relevance. Petitions should not be relating to individual grievances, issues pending before courts, seeking employment, patta, old age pension, bank loan, entrepreneurial assistances, transfers in the Government jobs or grievances of the Government employees.
Clarifications
The petitions within the jurisdiction of the committee would be taken up for hearing during the proposed sitting of the panel. The committee would seek clarifications from the official concerned during the hearing and the Collectorate would duly inform the petitioner.
