No-confidence motion against Speaker

CHENNAI:
The Assembly on Thursday admitted a no-confidence motion against Speaker R. Avudaiappan.
It was moved by the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
All AIADMK and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam members supported the motion, moved by Deputy Leader of the Opposition O. Panneerselvam and D. Jayakumar.
Decision on May 14
Mr. Avudaiappan said the discussion would be taken up on May 14, as decided by the Business Advisory Committee earlier.
This is the second such motion against the Speaker.
