Two pose as IT officials, steal cash, jewellery

CHENNAI : Two persons posing as Income Tax officials took away Rs.50,000 in cash and gold jewellery weighing 22 sovereigns from the house of a former Central Government employee in Luz Avenue.

According to the police, the duo, on the pretext of conducting a search, took away the valuables and cash. A case has been registered.
