All charged up against these biting killjoys
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
Taking a walk in Cubbon Park in the evenings is a great idea. Your lungs get some of the cleanest air in the city. But once you decide to relax on a concrete seat, mosquitoes have already decided to issue a series of eviction notices on you.
A regular walker recently decided to do something concrete to ward off the pesky killjoys. He came armed with a smaller version of what looked like a tennis racquet. But it was no ordinary racquet. Its thin wires were charged with electricity. As he waved the racket around, you could hear it pop and sizzle. The mosquito casualties were impressive. The enterprising walker announced to the envious population nearby that he was happy with the gizmo he had bought at Majestic, which was a snip at Rs. 120. He regularly charged it at home and took it along during his evening walks.
