Remove LED hoardings: Lok Satta

Staff Reporter

Hyderabad: Lok Satta has demanded removal of all LED hoardings from city junctions. Even in respect of normal and unipole hoardings, the size and content should be under the control of GHMC.

Giving details of a survey conducted at major junctions, K. Srinivasa Rao, general secretary, Lok Satta, said 602 of the 686 persons who were covered rejected the LED hoardings outrightly. As many as 89 per cent of persons covered said LED hoardings were contributing to accidents. Mr. Rao criticised the GHMC for thinking only on commercial lines and said such large size hoardings were distracting riders' attention leading to accidents.
