MRF launches hi-tech bias option tyres

CHENNAI: MRF has launched hi-tech bias option tyres — Super Lug Fifty `FS' — for trucks that save fuel by about five per cent. Koshy K Varghese, Executive Vice-President (Marketing), told reporters here on Friday that this was a revolutionary innovation in bias tyre technology and was built on the `formula speed' technology. Designed and produced at the company's R&D facility in Chennai, the tyre would especially be beneficial for long-haul truck operations. These tyres were positioned at the premium end and priced at Rs. 12,650 a piece.
