Tendulkar, Harbhajan in Asian team

Special Correspondent

Dhaka: Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh figure in the Asian team for the three one-dayers to be held against South Africa in Bangalore (June 6) and Chennai (June 9 and 10).

Virender Sehwag is the third Indian to be selected for the series.

According to the selectors of the Asian team, Rahul Dravid had requested not to be considered because he needed rest ahead of a taxing international schedule.

Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara also were unavailable for selection, both busy with their respective English counties.
