KANNUR: Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran has said that co-operative clinical laboratories will be set up at primary healthcare centres (PHC) in association with the Health Department. Inaugurating the Golden Jubilee Mandiram of the Vengad panchayat here on Friday, Mr. Sudhakaran said that a project for setting up clinical laboratories in the PHCs was in the pipeline. Clinical tests would be done free of cost in these laboratories for patients belonging to the below poverty line category, he said adding that concessions would be given to patients having above poverty line card.
