Punjab in semifinals

NAWANSHAHR: Host Punjab outplayed West Bengal 52-15 in the quarterfinals of the 34th National sub-junior basketball championship at the Kirpal Sagar Academy, Rahon, on Friday.

In the semifinals, Punjab will meet Madhya Pradesh while Rajasthan will take on Chhattisgarh.

In the girls' section, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana made the semifinals.

The results (quarterfinals): Boys: Punjab bt West Bengal 52-15; Madhya Pradesh bt Andhra Pradesh 37-29; Rajasthan bt Delhi 46-8; Chhattisgarh bt Uttar Pradesh 56-17. — Special Correspondent
