State to allow permanent works under job scheme

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided in-principle to allow permanent works, like laying of inter-village roads and drains, under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS).

It would be implemented after formal approval by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy after his return from abroad, according to Rural Development Minister G. Chinna Reddy.
