Smart City pact to be signed tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A chartered flight carrying top executives of Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (TECOM) will land here on Sunday signalling the culmination of nearly three years of negotiations between the company and the State Government for setting up the Smart City project in Kochi. The State Government has received a communication from the Dubai company saying that its executive chairman Ahmad Bin Byat and chief executive officer Abdullatif Al Mulla would reach here on Sunday to sign the agreement for the Rs.1,500-crore joint venture project. Two other officials of the company are expected to reach here a day earlier.
