KARIMNAGAR: The District Congress Committee leaders have urged Minister for Minorities Welfare and Karimnagar district in-charge Mohd. In a memorandum submitted to the Minister in Hyderabad, a copy of which was released to the media here on Friday, DCC general secretary Adhar Siddiqui, town secretary Fazal Hussain Javed, secretary Kareem, and others have stated that the in-charge Minister had released Rs. 25 lakh and Karimnagar MP K. Chandrashekhar Rao had promised Rs. 25 lakh but had released only Rs. 16 lakh. They urged the Minister to ensure that the remaining Rs. 9 lakh was released for the completion of the girls hostel building at the earliest.

They said that 90 per cent of the building construction was completed. If the remaining funds were released, the pending works would be completed and opened during this academic year benefiting the girl students, they added. They also thanked the Minister for Minorities for sanctioning Rs. 1 crore as scholarships to the Muslim minorities of the district.
