Two students killed in separate road accidents

HYDERABAD: Two students were killed in separate road accidents on the city suburbs on Friday.

A 10th standard student was killed after the motorcycle he was riding along with his friend collided with an engineering college bus at Raghuramnagar in Narsingi.

Police said Praveen Kumar Gutpa (17) went to Chilkur Balaji temple in Narsingi to offer prayers as he had passed SSC examination. On return journey, Kumar could not negotiate a curve at Raghuramnagar and rammed the bus.

Kumar died on the spot while his friend Vyas Ashish was admitted to a private hospital where his condition was said to be serious. Kumar was a student of Oxford High School.

An Intermediate second year student was killed after a lorry hit the motorcycle on which he was riding at HMT crossroads in Nacharam. The victim was been identified as T. Harikrishna (20), a student of Railway College in Tarnaka.

Woman ends life

A 22-year-old woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Rezimental Bazaar in Secunderabad on Friday. M. Santoshi alias Vijaya Laxmi ended her life following alleged dowry harassment by her husband Santosh and in-laws.

Her marriage was performed with Santosh four months ago, police said.
