TA hiked for police personnel

To be paid with retrospective effect from March 1 this year

VIJAYAWADA: Travelling Allowance (TA) of the city police persons has been hiked. As per the revision, staff working in law and order and traffic wings will get Rs. 400 a month, while those in Anti-Goonda Squad will get Rs. 750 and armed reserved personnel will get Rs. 750 a month.

Inspectors in the law and order wing will be paid Rs. 500 and rural inspectors will be paid Rs. 1,200. The monthly travelling allowance for inspectors working in the city special branch, city crime records bureau and the AGS will be Rs. 1,000.

For assistant commissioners of police, the allowance will be Rs. 1,500 a month.

City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand said the revised allowances would be paid with retrospective effect from March 1 this year.
