NEW DELHI: Heavy rain accompanied by a hailstorm lashed many parts of the Capital for the second day in a row on Friday, bringing the mercury down several notches. The Meteorological Department attributed the rainfall to upper air cyclonic circulation over central parts of Rajasthan and the neighbouring areas of the Capital. "Rain is not unusual at this time of the year. Also, it is not abnormal for hailstorms to accompany rain. The phenomenon is not likely to last long as the cyclonic circulation is mild," said the weatherman, adding that the city received 25.1 mm of rainfall on Friday.
The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain and thunderstorm accompanied by squall in some parts of the Capital in the next 24
