Documentary on EMS for children

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: `Karmadheerante Kalppadukal,' a 30-minute documentary chronicling the life and times of State's first Chief Minister E.M.S. Namboodiripad, will be brought out by the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) for school children by the end of June.

The documentary will highlight the contributions rendered by the communist leader in fighting against social evils and inequalities prevailing during his time. The documentary will also acknowledge his contributions in the literary field. The `switch on' function of the documentary was performed by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan before the statue of EMS situated in front of the legislative complex on Friday. The CDs of the film will be made available to all the schools.
