NAWANSHAHR: Chhattisgarh made the final in both the boys and girls' sections in the 34th National sub-junior basketball championship at the Kirpal Sagar Academy, Rahon, on Saturday. Chhattisgarh, the defending champion in the boys' section, edged past Rajasthan 56-49, while the girls' team humbled Maharashtra 73-28 in the semifinals. Host Punjab outplayed Madhya Pradesh 61-8 to make the final in the boys' event. Uttar Pradesh will challenge Chhattisgarh in the girls' final after getting past Haryana rather comfortably.
