TBWA wins agency of year award

KOCHI: The TBWA India has won the Agency of the Year Award in the first edition of Pepper-2007, the annual creative award function of The Advertising Club, Kochi.

The award has been given based on the maximum points received on all categories of the competition. Pepper 2007, which was open for agencies from all over southern India, received 500 entries from 53 agencies. The awards were presented in Kochi on Thursday. Twentynine entries were selected in the final round.

Club president K. Venugopal said: "We are now confident of inviting agencies from across the country to compete for the creative award function of the Kochi Ad Club (which has 450 members), as a globally-benchmarked premium event each year. We hope the legend of Pepper and the creative spirits of the present will gel to create a niche for Kochi in the global creative space."
