AUCET results out

Rank cards to all eligible candidates within a week, says V-C

VISAKHAPATNAM: The results of Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET)-2007 were announced here on Saturday - the second time in a row within 48 hours of conducting it.

The admission process for campus colleges, university PG centres and affiliated colleges will begin on June 3. AU also became the first university in the State to announce the results of the test for PG courses. In all, 37,625 candidates wrote the test for various courses.

Releasing the results at a press conference here, Vice-Chancellor Y. Venugopal Reddy complimented director of Admissions A.V. Prasada Rao and his team for conducting the test without any interruption and publishing results within 48 hours.

He said rank cards along with admission intimation memos would be sent to all the eligible candidates within a week. Regular class work for PG students of all courses would commence from July 2.

Top rankers

Intake strength in M.Ed. course will be enhanced from 25 to 40 from current academic year due to heavy demand. Maximum number of applications - 9,500 were received for 3,000 seats in chemistry.
