NEW DELHI: KSK Energy Ventures Private Limited on Saturday announced the launch of a 540 MW thermal power project at Warora, in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, through a Special Purpose Vehicle Wardha Power Company Private Limited. The project involves a total investment of Rs. 2,400 crore. On completion, it will generate about 3,500 million units per annum. The company also entered into an arrangement with the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), which has been allocated a coal block in Chhattisgarh. The GMDC retains the right to invest up to 26 per cent of the power project's equity.
