KADAPA: CPI (M) will launch `land occupation' after May 15, if officials failed to distribute lands and sanction house sites to the poor, Agricultural Workers Union district secretary Anvesh said on Saturday. CPI(M) and union functionaries staged dharna before Kalasapadu tahsildar office demanding sanction of pucca houses, house sites and land to poor, downtrodden and weaker sections. The Government did not distribute land for poorer sections in Praja Patham, but planning to regularise lands encroached upon by Congressmen, CPI (M) leader K. Linga Murthy alleged. Promise of temple entry to Dalits was also not fulfilled, he alleged. Union district secretary Anvesh demanded sanction of 400 pucca houses and land to poor in Kalasapadu mandal. He demanded action against persons who allegedly encroached upon burial grounds in Malluvaripalle and Eguva Ramapuram. CPI(M) secretary D. Obulesu and local leaders K. Yohan, Abraham, Prasad and Praveen also participated.
