VIJAYAWADA: The traffic police on Saturday banned carting of goods from One Town to Hanumanpet by auto-rickshaws, platform rickshaws and pushcarts during evening hours. ACP (traffic) T. Prabhakar Babu, in a statement here, said that following a ban on the loading and unloading of goods on Canal Road, traders began shifting their goods to Hanumanpet. As the auto-rickshaws and pushcarts were moving towards Bose Bomma Centre and old Government General Hospital, it was resulting in frequent traffic jams, he said. Besides booking cases, the police would also seize the goods if any trader continued to transport the goods during daytime. Mr. Babu advised the traders to cart their goods between 11 p.m. and 6 p.m
