HYDERABAD: A tiff over sharing money while playing cards led to the murder of a vegetable vendor at his house at Vinayaknagar in Neredmet on Friday night. The victim P. Nagulu (28) was playing cards along with his friend K. Raju. At the same time, they were also consuming liquor. A few minutes later, a heated argument ensued between them over sharing money. In a fit of rage, Raju brought a pestle from the kitchen and smashed Nagulu's head with it. As a result, Nagulu suffered grievous head injuries and died on the spot. The incident came to light when residents noticed Raju coming out of the house with blood-stained clothes and alerted the police. The accused was later taken into custody, according to the police. Inquiries revealed that Nagulu was residing alone in the house ever since his wife and children deserted him a year ago.
