Police raid resort, arrest dancers

BANGALORE: The Hulimavu police on Friday night raided a resort where a live band show was being held in violation of rules and arrested seven women.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (MICO Layout) M.B. Rajendra Prasad told The Hindu on Saturday that the skimpily clad women were performing dances at a resort on NICE Road, off Bannerghatta Road.

Liquor seized

The police have seized huge quantity of liquor from the resort and arrested its manager.

The arrested women used to perform at live band joints earlier and they were from Mumbai and Kolkata, Mr. Prasad said.
