SALEM: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) opened an e-darshan advance booking centre on Meyyanur Road here on Sunday to help devotees book their tickets online for darshan and various sevas in the temple of Lord Venkateswara. Devasthanam's Joint Executive Officer N. Srikanth inaugurated centre, which was opened in association with Salem Sri Garuda Spiritual and Developmental Trust. According to Devasthanam officials, devotees can book tickets for darshan, Archana Ananthara Darshan and Nijapatha Darshan (allowed only on Friday) in the centre. The centre will also facilitate them to book for accommodation. The Devasthanam charges Rs. 100 for providing accommodation. The devotees should come in person to register the impression of index finger while booking tickets. The centre will function from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the weekdays except on Tuesdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, the centre will function up to 7 p.m. District Revenue Officer M. Rajarathinam, Deputy Commissioner of Police P. Sakthivelm, Devasthanam's Electronic Data Processing Manager Y. Sivasankar Reddy and senior officials were present.
