MUNNAR: By demolishing a six-storeyed unauthorised resort on Nadayar Road and slapping summary eviction notice against five others on Sunday, the Special Task Force (STF) has sent a clear message to the encroachers in Munnar that it means business. The demolition of `Summer Castle,' a resort which started functioning a month ago, began by 8.30 a.m. in the presence of a large posse of armed police force led by Inspector-General of Police Rishi Raj Singh and Additional Secretary K. Suresh Kumar, who is in charge of coordinating the eviction. The structure had encroached on both the road-poramboke and the river-poramboke.
