CHENNAI: A meeting to analyse the performance of various schemes announced by the Cooperative Department was held here on Saturday.

The meeting, presided over by Food and Cooperation Minister E.V. Velu, discussed a strategy to implement the Department's field publicity works and ensure that the Government's welfare plans reached the beneficiaries in time.

Besides the special officers of the District Cooperative Societies, the meeting was attended by Registrar of Cooperative Societies D. Prabakara Rao and senior officials of the Cooperative Department.
