New Delhi: Rubabuddin Sheikh, brother of encounter victim Sohrabuddin Sheikh has sought a direction from the Supreme Court for a CBI enquiry into the alleged killing of his sister-in-law Kausarbi by the Gujarat police. Gujarat Police in an action-taken-report before the apex court had admitted that Kausarbi was killed and her body burnt few days after her husband Sohrabuddin was killed in a fake encounter. In an affidavit filed by Mr. Rubabuddin Sheikh, he said that he had no faith in the Gujarat Police and the investigation be handed over to the CBI. He has also sought that senior police officer Rajneesh Rai be reinstated to investigate the case. Mr. Sheikh has also made some allegations against the Gujarat DGP expressing apprehension that under him the investigation will suffer. - PTI
