AIR music competition

CHENNAI: The All India Radio (AIR) will organise a music competition for discovering and encouraging new talent among young artists.

The competition would be open to those between 16 and 24 years of age as of June 29, 2006. Carnatic, Hindustani, light music, folk music and choral music would be covered.

Interested persons can get application forms from the nearest AIR station.

Candidates would have to pay an entry fee of Rs.100 by money order with the application form.

The last date for the receipt of entries is June 15, 2007.
