Two killed in accident

TAMBARAM: Two persons were killed when the motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a concrete mixing lorry at Perungudi on Old Mammallapuram Road on Sunday. Traffic police said Siddiq (26) of CIT Colony, Nandanam, and his neighbour Parvathy (35) were travelling on a two-wheeler. The lorry hit the motorcycle from behind. Siddiq died on the spot, while Parvathy succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Perungudi.
