Most commuters seek Volvo bus services

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation appears to have drawn people using private transport in the city to Volvo buses.

It collected feedback from 900 commuters of the Volvo services between April 5 and April 7.

Of them, 277 were using motorcycles, 178 depended on cars, 165 on autorickshaws and the rest were using either BMTC buses or office vehicles for regular travel.

Most commuters wanted more Volvo buses as, according to them, they were passenger-friendly.

The seating arrangement is good, said 673 commuters while 211 pronounced it average.

As many as 485 commuters said their journey was comfortable while 308 commuters went one step further saying that it was highly comfortable.
