Sabarimala development to be expedited

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government proposes to expedite Sabarimala development and complete the roads to the pilgrim centre before the monsoon.

A conference convened by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Monday discussed the modalities for time bound implementation of the Sabarimala Master Plan and Pampa Action Plan. Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister T.K.A. Nair and State Ministers G. Sudhakaran, K. P. Rajendran, Benoy Viswom and M. Vijayakumar were also present.

Chief Secretary Lizzie Jacob said, the conference decided, will oversee the implementation of the Master Plan and Pampa Plan. A special officer will also be appointed.
