Incident leaves neighbours and schoolteachers shocked

: A 12th standard girl allegedly committed suicide at her house in Chromepet, hours before the results of the Plus Two examinations were announced on Monday.
Police said the girl was unable to bear acute stomach pain, and that she was depressed and terribly anxious about her marks.
When the results came out, the girl had secured 875 marks out of 1,200.
The girl V. Yamuna (17), was the daughter of Velan, a car driver and Jayalakshmi, a housewife. Around 1 a.m. on Monday, Ramesh, her brother, returned home.
He knocked on the door and as there was no response, he looked in through the window and noticed his younger sister hanging from the ceiling.
The incident left the girl's neighbours and teachers shocked.
